April 8th 2010 - On March 29th, Steven Aftergood wrote that "WikiLeaks.org, which publishes confidential documents online, says that it is being harassed by U.S. military and intelligence agencies because of its disclosures of restricted information, including the forthcoming release of a classified U.S. military video of an air strike in Afghanistan that produced civilian casualties. But those claims are disputed and can hardly be taken at face value." - [end quote]*

And yes, personally I think - and this is based on more than 40 years as an independent correspondent - that Steven Aftergood is totally right. As far as I can see it Wikileaks is a Mossad/CIA trap. A way of getting at the IP's - the Internet addresses, names etc. of the 'leakers' to this site. And then it's easy to pick up those 'dissidents' everywhere.

March 2010 - WMR [Wayne Madsen Report] has learned from Asian intelligence sources that there is a strong belief in some Asian countries, particularly China and Thailand, that the website Wikileaks, which purports to publish classified and sensitive documents while guaranteeing anonymity to the providers, is linked to U.S. cyber-warfare and computer espionage operations, as well as to Mossad's own cyber-warfare activities.

Wikileaks claims to have decrypted video footage of a U.S. Predator air strike on civilians in Afghanistan and that covert U.S. State Department agents followed Wikileaks's editor from Iceland to Norway in a surveillance operation conducted jointly by the United States and Iceland. Iceland's financially-strapped government recently announced a policy of becoming a haven for websites that fear political oppression and censorship in their home countries. However, in the case of Wikileaks, countries like China and Thailand are suspicious of the websites' actual "ownership."

Wikileaks says it intends to show its video at an April 5 press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC but that its presenters may be detained or arrested before that time. WMR's sources believe the Wikileaks "militancy" in the face of supposed surveillance appears fake.

Our Asian intelligence sources report the following: "Wikileaks is running a disinformation campaign, crying persecution by U.S. intelligence- when it is U.S. intelligence itself. Its [Wikileaks'] activities in Iceland are totally suspect." Wikileaks claims it is the victim of a new COINTELPRO [Counter Intelligence Program] operation directed by the Pentagon and various U.S. intelligence agencies. WMR's sources believe that it is Wikileaks that is part and parcel of a cyber-COINTELPRO campaign, such as that proposed by President Obama's "information czar," Dr. Cass Sunstein.

In January 2007, John Young, who runs cryptome.org, a site that publishes a wealth of sensitive and classified information, left Wikileaks, claiming the operation was a CIA front. Young also published some 150 email messages sent by Wikileaks activists on cryptome. They include a disparaging comment about this editor by Wikileaks co-founder Dr. Julian Assange of Australia. Assange lists as one of his professions "hacker." His German co-founder of Wikileaks uses a pseudonym, "Daniel Schmitt."

Wikileaks claims it is "a multi-jurisdictional organization to protect internal dissidents, whistleblowers, journalists and bloggers who face legal or other threats related to publishing" [whose] primary interest is in exposing oppressive regimes in Asia, the former Soviet bloc, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, but we are of assistance to people of all nations who wish to reveal unethical behavior in their governments and corporations. We aim for maximum political impact. We have received over 1.2 million documents so far from dissident communities and anonymous sources."

In China, Wikileaks is suspected of having Mossad connections. It is pointed out that its first "leak" was from an Al Shabbab "insider" in Somalia. Al Shabbab is the Muslim insurgent group that the neocons have linked to "Al Qaeda."

Asian intelligence sources also point out that Assange's "PhD" is from Moffett University, an on-line diploma mill and that while he is said to hail from Nairobi, Kenya, he actually in from Australia where his exploits have included computer hacking and software piracy. - [end excerpt]

Among other things it shows more fake stories: “That WikiLeaks is being targeted by the U.S. Government for surveillance and disruption is beyond doubt,” declared Glenn Greenwald in Salon.com. In support of this conclusion he cited the detention of a minor in Iceland last week who was supposedly questioned about an incriminating WikiLeaks video. But there is no independent corroboration of this incident. And WikiLeaks’ account of what transpired, though recounted by Salon as fact, is disputed by Iceland’s police:

“Chief of police in Reykjavik, Fridrik Smari Bjorgvinsson, said the only link he has been able to establish between the allegations and his force was the arrest of a 17 year-old in Kopavogur on Monday for breaking into a business premises. Bjorgvinsson emphasised that Icelandic police have not been working with the American secret services on the matter, as Wikileaks spokesmen allege.”

And when I see Wikileaks on all propaganda-channels of the mainstream media, and I know a couple of languages, my experience too tells me that this Wikileaks is as wrong as can be. Since I've lived and worked for many years as a Scandinavian correspondent too, I often visited Iceland an learned to like it very much. So of course I keep an eye on it, and read stories like these:

"Wikileaks and Iceland media law are stalking horses for Soros."

Following up on WMR's March 25, 2010 report on Wikileaks's ties to U.S. intelligence, Mossad, and George Soros, WMR has received additional information that points to the Icelandic media law that would turn the economically-battered country into an information safe haven for websites like Wikileaks as being a contrivance of George Soros's Open Society Institute (OSI).

WMR has learned that OSI's Mark Thompson spoke at the May 2009 First Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Media and New Communications Services. Present at the conference was Katrin Jakobsdóttir, Iceland's Minister of Culture, Education, and Science and members of the Icelandic parliament, the Althing. It was after this conference that the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative was introduced with much fanfare from Wikileaks and its co-founder Julian Assange.

"We've just received word that the judge in the Wikileaks case, Jeffrey White, has vacated the Permanent Injunction that ordered Wikileaks' domain name registrar, Dynadot, to disable the entire Wikileaks.org domain name and remove all DNS hosting records.

The judge also refused to renew the Temporary Restraining Order that enjoined Wikileaks from publishing or distributing copies of purported bank documents and tentatively denied the plaintiffs' motion for a preliminary injunction, indicating that he would issue an order addressing the motion in the near future.

For now, the only official record from the hearing is a one-page "Minute Order" issued by the clerk. CNET News has also just posted an update on the hearing. As we get more information, we'll update this post.

“It would free the press from fear,” says Thor Saari, one of the members of parliament spearheading the proposal, which is known as the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative (IMMI). Iceland’s Parliament, the Althingi, is expected to support the effort.

To craft their bill, members of parliament (MPs) drew on existing laws in the United States and European countries. “We tried to find the best [laws] in each country and merge it all into one proposal that the government will enact as legislation,” Saari says. A draft of the initiative proposes strengthening protection for whistleblowers, ensuring the anonymity of journalists’ sources, liberalizing the country’s freedom of information regulations, and creating Iceland’s first international award, which would honor freedom of expression.

The energy behind IMMI comes from the three MPs who belong to a protest party called the Movement and from members of the ruling Social Democrat/Left-Green coalition. They have received help from Julian Assange and Daniel Schmitt, the founders of the website Wikileaks. Assange and Schmitt became heroes in Iceland after publishing details of corporate loans issued by Kaupthing, a failed Icelandic bank. State television was forbidden by a court order to reveal the information due to banking secrecy laws. It appeared instead on Wikileaks.

An opportunity to propose the changes arose when Icelandic lawmakers recently decided to bring the country’s media laws up to speed with new technology. March 4th 2010 - In the article published by the Sioux City Journal, and posted on Thursday, March 4, 2010, it says that: "Payoneer provides prepaid MasterCards issued by MetaBank and other lenders. The company has a research and development center in Tel Aviv, raising suspicions of Israeli involvement in the killing. Israel's Mossad spy agency is widely suspected of carrying out the Jan. 19 slaying of Hamas commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, whom Israel accuses of smuggling weapons to Hamas militants controlling the Gaza Strip. [The usual Mossad trick: blame the victim! - HR]

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied involvement. Payoneer is headed by Yuval Tal, who in a 2006 Fox News interview was identified as a former member of the Israeli special forces." - [end excerpt]

Posted: Thursday, March 4, 2010 - STORM LAKE, Iowa - Some of the suspects in the slaying of a top Hamas leader used stolen IDs and fake passports to fraudulently obtain MetaBank prepaid credit cards, the Storm Lake, Iowa-based bank said. The prepaid cards, loaded with funds by outside companies, were issued by a Meta partner, New York-based Payoneer Inc., and not through one of its retail bank branches, Meta said in a statement.

Authorities in Dubai had earlier tied MetaBank and Payoneer Inc. to cards members of a hit squad allegedly used to book flights and reserve hotel rooms in the Middle Eastern country.

Meta, whose parent company is Meta Financial Group (CASH), publicly responded to the reports for the first time on Tuesday. The bank said an internal review of compliance with bank and regulatory requirements found no signs of wrongdoing.

The names of those applying for the cards were not on a prohibited user watch list maintained by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control. "Individuals named were not on the OFAC list, and no other readily apparent method existed for Meta to determine that identity theft had been perpetrated on valid governments and their citizens," the bank said in an e-mail to the Journal.

Funds were loaded onto the cards by outside companies using direct deposit for payroll, disbursements and other compensation, Meta said.

The bank said its division, Meta Payment Systems has issued more than 150 million payroll cards through various program managers, including Payoneer, to offer "reputable U.S. companies network-branded payroll cards with which American companies can pay expatriates, employees and contractors of their company who live in the U.S. and in foreign countries."

Payoneer provides prepaid MasterCards issued by MetaBank and other lenders. The company has a research and development center in Tel Aviv, raising suspicions of Israeli involvement in the killing.

For the 'Assorted Propaganda' bureau called AP (Associated Press) Adam Schreck [HR: I know it's not done, but, in translation to German, 'schreck' means 'fright'] did the following item: "US bank in Dubai killing ties cards to partner."

(AP) - Dubai, United Arab Emirates — The U.S. bank linked by Dubai police to the slaying of a top Hamas commander said Wednesday that prepaid credit cards allegedly used by the hit team were provided through a partner company, and that the bank's own procedures did not flag the card users as suspicious.

Authorities in Dubai had earlier tied MetaBank to its partner Payoneer Inc., though neither police nor the companies had clarified the relationship or described how the alleged assassins acquired the cards. Payoneer works with MetaBank to provide credit cards that employers can top up to pay their employees.

MetaBank, part of Storm Lake, Iowa-based Meta Financial Group Inc., said in an emailed statement Wednesday that the cards police say were involved in the Dubai killing were issued through that employee payment program, not through one of its retail bank branches.

Funds were then loaded onto those cards by outside companies "using direct deposit for payroll, disbursements, and other compensation," the bank said.

MetaBank has launched an internal review of compliance with bank and regulatory requirements, and said it has found no signs of wrongdoing. It said the names of the people taking out the cards were not on a prohibited user watch list maintained by the U.S. Treasury Dept.'s Office of Foreign Assets Control.

"Standardized steps were taken in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards to validate cardholder identities prior to card issuance," the bank said. "The individuals named were not on the OFAC list, and no other readily apparent method existed for Meta to determine that identity theft had been perpetrated on valid governments and their citizens."

MetaBank spokeswoman Lisa Binder said she did not know which companies loaded funds onto the cards, and declined to comment beyond what was in the statement.

Hamas operative Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was found dead in a Dubai hotel room Jan. 20. Police claim some of the hit team, which includes at least 26 suspects, used credit cards obtained with fraudulent passports to pay for plane tickets and Dubai hotels. Dubai police linked many of the cards to MetaBank and its partner Payoneer.

Payoneer provides prepaid MasterCards issued by MetaBank and other lenders. The company is based in New York and has a research and development center in Tel Aviv, raising suspicions of Israeli involvement in the killing.

Israelnationalnews.com - Adar 17, 5770, 03 March 2010 - Dubai police chief Dahi Khalfan Tamim said he will ask state prosecutors to issue warrants to arrest Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for eliminating Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Mabhouh last January. He also said that Meir Dagan, head of the Mossad, should be brought into custody.

His request comes one month after he warned that the Prime Minister might be guilty if it was discovered that Israel has been behind the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh at a Dubai hotel in January.

However, Hamas claimed on Tuesday that Jordanian and Egyptian spies also were involved in the operation. The terrorist organization told the London-based Al Quds al-Arabi newspaper that the two Arab countries, which have diplomatic relations with Israel, were worried about Mabhouh’s possession of sensitive information, some of it concerning Iran.

Dubai police since then have said they are fairly sure that Mossad agents carried out the counterterrorist operation with identity theft for the use of false passports, some of them faked as diplomatic documents.

Tamim said he is “almost certain" Israel was involved in the assassination of Mabhouh, a Hamas co-founder who was responsible for the kidnap-murder of two Israeli soldiers and who reportedly was in Dubai on a weapons-buying visit.

Dubai also wants the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate charges that MetaBank, a regional American bank, issued credit cards to the suspects, who used them to buy plane tickets and rent hotel rooms in Dubai. Quoting Dubai police, Dubai’s National newspaper reported, "Thirteen of the 27 suspects used prepaid MasterCards issued by MetaBank.”

Police in Dubai have reasoned that the method by which Mabhouh (pictured) was killed is similar to former tactics used by the Mossad, Israel’s secret international intelligence agency. The Mossad has not commented on the Dubai operation and usually does not deny or confirm reports of counterterrorist maneuvers.

Mabhouh was drugged and suffocated “so that it would seem that his death was natural,” according to police in Dubai, although previous reports have said an electronic device blew up in his face.

Once again the PMAJO demonstrate that its first loyalty is to the Israeli secret police, even when they violate the sovereignty of major US allies. No doubt the PMAJO would readily support the Israeli Mossad, even if it were shown to have used U.S. documents to assassinate Mabhouh. In fact, two of the 26 Israeli assassins, carrying fake Irish and fake British passports, are known to have entered the United States after the killing and may still be here.

The position adopted by the Daily Alert and the PMAJO in defense of Israel's international terrorist act followed several lines of attack, which will be discussed below. These include: (1) blaming the victim, (2) claiming that extra-judicial, extra territorial murders are legal, (3) minimizing the murder of 'one' individual, (4) deflecting attention from the Zionists by blaming 'other Arab's, (5) favorably comparing Mossad assassinations to US killings in Afghanistan, (6) trivializing and relativizing world condemnation, (7) citing "self-defense", (8) praising the high tech 'operational details' of the assassination and (9) discrediting the Dubai police investigators rather than the Israeli perpetrators.

Abridged articles, cited in the Daily Alert, have appeared in the op-ed pages of several US, UK, Canadian and Israeli newspapers, as well as in rightwing magazines like Forbes and Commentary. The mainline Zionist propaganda technique is to avoid any discussion of Israel's egregious crimes against sovereignty, due process, international law and the personal security of individuals. In doing so, the Daily Alert adopts the propaganda techniques common to all totalitarian regimes practicing state terrorism.

(1) Blaming the Victim

On February 22, the Daily Alert (DA) headlined two articles, which were entitled: "Killed Hamas Official betrayed by Associates says Dubai Police Chief" and "Hamas: Assassinated Operative put Himself at Risk". The DA forgot to mention that Israeli secret police had been tracking their prey for over a month (having failed to assassinate him on six previous attempts) and that the Dubai Police Chief was not blaming Hamas officials but was in the process of accumulating evidence, witness statements, videos and documents proving the Israeli identities of the assassins.

Needless to say, if we were to accept the American Zionists' argument that any leading opponent of Israel, who travels without an army of bodyguards, is "putting himself at risk", then we must acknowledge that ours is a lawless world where Israeli hit squads are free to commit murder anywhere, any time.

(2) Extra-Judicial, Extra territorial Murder is "Legal" (At least if the killers are Mossad)

The February 22 and February 24 issues of the DA include two articles arguing that Israel's practice of extra-judicial, extra-territorial murder is legal. One article is entitled, "The Legality of Killing of Hamas Mahmoud al Mabhoud" and the other, "The Proportionate Killing of Mahmoud al Mabhoud". These avoid any reference to international law, which emphatically rejects cross-border, state-sponsored murders.

Legality, for the PMAJO, is whatever the Israel's secret police apparatus deems expedient in pursuit of its goal of eliminating leaders who oppose its colonial occupation and expropriation of Palestinian lands. If Israel's extra-judicial, extra-territorial murder of an adversary in Dubai is legal, why not assassinate opponents in the US, Canada, England or any other country where they might travel, live, work or write?

What if the critics and opponents of Israel decided that it was now "legal" to murder Israel's supporters wherever they lived citing the Daily Alert's definition of legality? We would then find ourselves in a lawless world of "legal" murder and totalitarian cross-border surveillance.

(3) Minimizing the Murder

The Feb 22, 24, and 25 issues of the Daily Alert deflect attention from the Mossad murder by making comparison to the hundreds of Afghan civilians killed by US drone attacks. The claim is that "targeting individuals" is less a crime than mass killings. The problem with this argument is that for decades Mossad has "targeted" scores of opponents overseas and killed thousands of Palestinians in the occupied territories (where they work with the domestic secret police, Shin Bet, and the military, IDF).

Moreover, this argument linking Israel's extra judicial assassinations with US colonial killing of Afghans is hardly a defense of either. By implicating the US in its defense of state terror, Israel is holding up the worst aspects of American imperialism as a standard for its own political behavior. One state's crimes are no justification for another's.

(4) Blaming the Arabs: Deflecting Attention from Israel

The DA Feb. 22 article entitled "The Assassination Heard Around the World" insinuates that the murder was a "result of a Hamas power struggle" or by one of "many Arab groups who loathes the Islamist Hamas".

In other words, all the forged or stolen European passports of Israeli dual citizens, and the Dubai security videos of Mossad operatives in various costumes, not to mention the jubilant affirmation by top Israeli leaders of the killing, was in reality 'Arab tricks'. This crude propaganda ploy by the most prominent Jewish American organization reveals their own descent into a fantasy land of self-delusion, possible only in the closed world of US Zionist politics.

(5) Technical Proficiency

The DA published several articles praising the technical details of the Mossad assassination in Dubai, an aspect of the operation, with which few Israel security experts would agree. The Feb. 24 DA article entitled, "Assassination Shows Skillful Planning" chastises Israel's critics for not recognizing the high quality of the "operational aspects" of the killings and recommends its "lessons for all intelligence services around the world".

Like sociopaths and serial killers, US Zionists openly promote Israeli death squad techniques to all fellow state terrorists. In the DA, professional techniques of assassination are far more important than universal moral repugnance of political murders.

(6) Discrediting the Investigators While Defending the Perpetrators

The DA on Feb. 25 cited a long and tendentious attack on the Dubai police, published in Forbes Magazine, which ridiculed their meticulous investigations uncovering Mossad's roles in the murder. In this article, the Dubai authorities were condemned for uncovering Israeli involvement while not investigating the source of the murder victims' ... Iraqi passport!

Instead of encouraging the Dubai police pursuit of justice, the Daily Alert published a long diatribe implicating Dubai in the attacks of 9/11/2001, its continued trade with Iran, its 'involvement' in international terrorism etc. There was no mention of Dubai's relatively friendly position to Israel and Israelis prior to Mossad's blatant violation of its sovereignty.

Conclusion

The American Zionist propaganda campaign in defense of Israeli state terror and, specifically, Mossad's murder of a Hamas leader in Dubai, relies on lies, evasions and specious legal arguments. This "defense" violates all precepts of a civilized society as well as the most recent American federal laws prohibiting all forms of support for international terrorism.

The PMAJO can pursue its defense of Mossad's acts of international terrorism with impunity in the US because of its power over the US Congress, the Obama White House and the American mass media. This ensures that only its version of events, its definition of legality and its lies will be heard by legislators, echoed by Zionist activists and embellished by its solemn defenders in academic and journalistic circles.

To counter the American Zionist defense of Israel's practice of extra-territorial, extra-judicial executions by the Mossad, we need American writers and academics to step forward. It is time to expose their flimsy arguments, bold-face lies and audacious immorality. It is time to speak out against their impunity, before another Israeli secret police murder takes place, possibly inside the USA itself and with the shameless complicity of Zionist accomplices.

The authorities in Dubai have found clear evidence that the Mossad assassination team received support from European Zionists. The hotels, air tickets and expenses were paid with credit cards issued in the US. Two of the killers may be in the US now.

Will a time come when American Zionists, who are unconditional public defenders of Mossad killings, cross the line between propaganda for the deed to become accomplices of the deed?

Israel - Haaretz Service - 19/02/2010 - Israeli agents tipped off British intelligence that they were going to carry out an 'overseas operation' using fake British passports before assassinating a Hamas official in Dubai, the Daily Mail reported on Friday.

A Mossad operative said the U.K. Foreign Office was also told hours before Mahmoud al-Mabhouh was murdered in his hotel room by a hit squad the had entered the United Arab Emirates using fake foreign documents, the British newspaper said.

The tip-off did not say who the target would be or even where the hit squad would be in action. A British security source who met the Mossad agent was quoted by the Mail as saying:

"This is a serving member of Israeli intelligence. He says the British Government was told very, very briefly before the operation what was going to happen."

The source added: "There was no British involvement and they didn't know the name of the target. But they were told these people were travelling on UK passports."

According to the paper's source, the tip-off was not a request for permission to use British passports but more a "courtesy call" to let the security services know "a situation" might result from the operation.

The Mossad man said Israeli intelligence chiefs understood British authorities would have to "slap them on the wrist" and added:

"The British government has to be seen to be going through the motions."

U.K. officials had said previously they knew nothing of the affair until shortly before the Dubai authorities released details of the assassination earlier this week.

Britain, which on Thursday summoned Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor to 'clarify' the affair, could now face claims it condoned on extra-judicial killing.

A Foreign Office spokesman insisted last night it was "not correct" to claim that Britain knew in advance about the passports, the Mail said.

He said: "We received the details of the British passports a few hours before the press conference [by police in Dubai].

According to The Daily Telegraph (UK).* But the selected - not chosen - prime minister and the cartel's franchiser in England, Gordon Brown, will never ever be able to stop cooperating with the Mossad. IT IS A GLOBAL DISASTER

So, Gordon Brown's "British threat to Israel over Dubai Hamas assassination" is just another lie, one more faked 'threat' message by the 'english' PM on his string of lies: "Telegraph (UK) 18 Feb 2010 - Ministers are understood to be furious that an alleged hit squad which murdered a Hamas leader in Dubai last month cloned the passports of six unsuspecting Britons, who are now living in fear of reprisals.

Israel, which has not denied involvement in the murder, had previously promised that Mossad, its secret intelligence service, would never use British passports to help its agents carry out covert operations. Gordon Brown, making his first public comments about the incident, promised a “full investigation” into the passport forgery."

Brown can 'promise' whatever he wants: he does what his bosses behind the curtains order him to do.*

Mossad has been accused by Hamas, the Islamist group that controls Gaza, of being behind the murder of its military commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, who was found dead in his hotel room in Dubai on Jan 20. All of the British passport holders whose identities were stolen live in Israel, meaning Mossad would have had ready access to copies of their travel documents.

The Serious and Organised Crime Agency, which has a unit based at the British Embassy in Dubai, has begun its own investigation into the identity thefts, and the Prime Minister stressed the importance of protecting the status of the British passport.

“We have got to carry out a full investigation into this,” said Mr Brown. “The British passport is an important document that has got to be held with care. A British passport is an important part of being British.

Some compared the case to another Mossad embarrassment during Netanyahu's previous term as prime minister, the failed attempt to kill Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal in 1997. Two Mossad agents posing as Canadian tourists were captured after injecting Mashaal with poison, and Israel was forced to send an antidote that saved Mashaal's life. P.C. Roberts: "Once you start to ask yourself about whose agenda is served by events and their news spin, other things come to mind. For example, last July there was a news report that the government in Yemen had disbanded a terrorist cell, which was operating under the supervision of Israeli intelligence services. According to the news report, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh told Saba news agency that a terrorist cell was arrested and that the case was referred to judicial authorities "for its links with the Israeli intelligence services."

Could the Underwear Bomber have been one of the Israeli terrorist recruits? Certainly Israel has an interest in keeping the US fully engaged militarily against all potential foes of Israel’s territorial expansion. The thought brought back memory of my Russian studies at Oxford University where I learned that the Tsar’s secret police set off bombs so that they could blame those whom they wanted to arrest.

I next remembered that Francesco Cossiga, the president of Italy from 1985-1992, revealed the existence of Operation Gladio, a false flag operation under NATO auspices that carried out bombings across Europe in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. The bombings were blamed on communists and were used to discredit communist parties in elections.

An Italian parliamentary investigation unearthed the fact that the attacks were overseen by the CIA. Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra stated in sworn testimony that the attacks targeted innocent civilians, including women and children, in order "to force the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security."

What a coincidence. That is exactly what 9/11 succeeded in accomplishing in the U.S.

Among the well-meaning and the gullible in the West, the supposition still exists that government represents the public interest. Political parties keep this myth alive by fighting over which party best represents the public’s interest. In truth, government represents private interests, those of the office holders themselves and those of the lobby groups that finance their political campaigns. The public is in the dark as to the real agendas.

The U.S. and its puppet state allies were led to war in the Middle East and Afghanistan entirely on the basis of lies and deception. Iraqi weapons of mass destruction did not exist and were known by the U.S. and British governments not to exist. Forged documents, such as the "yellowcake documents," were leaked to newspapers in order to create news reporting that would bring the public along with the government’s war agenda.

Now the same thing is happening in regard to the nonexistent Iranian nuclear weapons program. Forged documents leaked to The Times (London) that indicated Iran was developing a "nuclear trigger" mechanism have been revealed as forgeries.

Who benefits? Clearly, attacking Iran is on the Israeli-U.S. agenda, and someone is creating the "evidence" to support the case, just as the leaked secret “Downing Street Memo” to the British cabinet informed Prime Minister Tony Blair’s government that President Bush had already made the decision to invade Iraq and "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy."

The willingness of people to believe their rulers and the propaganda ministries that serve the rulers is astonishing. Many Americans believe Iran has a nuclear weapons program despite the unanimous conclusion of 16 U.S. intelligence agencies to the contrary.

Vice President Dick Cheney and the neoconservatives fought hard with limited success to change the CIA’s role from intelligence agency to a political agency that manufactures facts in support of the neoconservative agenda. For the Bush Regime creating “new realities” was more important than knowing the facts.

Recently I read a proposal from a person purporting to favor an independent media that stated that we must save the print media from financial failure with government subsidies. Such a subsidy would complete the subservience of the media to government.

Even in Stalinist Russia, a totalitarian political system where everyone knew that there was no free press, a gullible or intimidated public and Communist Party enabled Joseph Stalin to put the heroes of the Bolshevik Revolution on show trial and execute them as capitalist spies.

In the U.S. we are developing our own show trials. Sheikh Mohammed’s will be a big one. As Chris Hedges recently pointed out, once government uses demonized Muslims to get the new justice (sic) system going, the rest of us will be next." - [and end]

MOSSAD'S AL-QAEDA IN YEMEN TO PREPARE FOR AN INVASION

The September 17, 2008 Mossad 'false flag al-Qaeda attack' on the US embassy left 18 people dead.

The french information agency 'Agence France Presse' (AFP) reported on October 6, 2008 from the capital Sanaa of Yemen that: "Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh announced on Monday the dismantling of a "terrorist cell" which he said was linked to Israeli intelligence services. Saleh gave no details but sources close to the investigation said he was apparently referring to a six-member cell arrested on suspicion of involvement in a deadly attack against the US embassy in the Yemeni capital last month.

"A terrorist cell was arrested five days ago and will be referred to the judicial authorities for its links with the Israeli intelligence services," Saleh was quoted as saying by the official Saba news agency. He said the group operated under the "slogan of Islam."

The Yemeni president made the statement during a meeting with politicians, tribal leaders, security and military officials at Al-Mukalla University in the southeastern province of Hadramawt. Saleh did not say how many people were arrested or detail his allegation that the cell was linked to Israeli intelligence. "Details of the trial will be announced later," he told the gathering. "You will hear about what goes on in the proceedings," Saleh said, urging Yemen's political parties to close ranks and cooperate to confront acts of terrorism, Saba reported.

Although Saleh said the group was arrested five days ago, sources close to the investigation told AFP he is believed to have been referring to six men rounded up in Sanaa after the September 17 attack on the US embassy which left 18 people dead. Militants detonated a booby-trapped car before firing a volley of rockets at the heavily fortified embassy in the second attack targeting the mission since April.

The interior ministry said on September 22 that security forces were holding six key suspects over the attack, including an Islamist militant who claimed responsiblity for the strike. "Security services succeeded in arresting six people, some of whom belong to Islamic Jihad, linked to Al-Qaeda and which claimed the attack," the ministry said in a statement. "One of these people answers to the name of Abu Ghaith al-Yamani, who signed a statement claiming the attack," the ministry added. The ministry said a total of 50 people were arrested in connection with the attack, in which six assailants were killed.

Cossiga first expressed his doubts about 9-11 in 2001, and is quoted by 9-11 researcher Webster Tarpley saying "The mastermind of the attack must have been a sophisticated mind, provided with ample means not only to recruit fanatic kamikazes, but also highly specialized personnel. I add one thing: it could not be accomplished without infiltrations in the radar and flight security personnel."

Coming from a widely respected former head of state, Cossiga's assertion that the 9-11 attacks were an inside job and that this is common knowledge among global intelligence agencies is illuminating.
